Giant grasshopper attacks JCB

Yes I know, it sounds like a headline from the Daily Sport, but I recently came across this photo on Facebook and simply had to share it with the Digger Man Blog readers.

The photo was snapped by Dutchman Marcel Koenen who works for a JCB dealer in Holland as a service technician. Marcel noticed the larger than normal grasshopper sat on the roof of his classic 1970’s NZG scale model of the iconic JCB 3CII, which is normally found on the dashboard of his service van. With a stroke of luck the insect remained in place long enough for Marcel to capture it in all its glory!

I think you will agree, it’s a great shot worthy of a place in any wildlife magazine and one I am very happy to share here on the Digger Man Blog.
