Great Expectations for Hybrids

It’s widely being predicted that 2017 is going to be the year of the Hybrid excavator with most manufacturers now offering competitive versions of these machines which can deliver outstanding fuel economy.

Great Expectations for Hybrids
Japanese brand Kobelco claim to be one of the pioneers of Hybrid excavator technology, but while other manufacturers like Komatsu and Caterpillar have already launched their machines into the market, which have generally been well received, Kobelco are yet to do so. However at Bauma earlier this year Kobelco announced its intention to launch their first Hybrid excavator into the European market next year and displayed its latest model the SK200H. KobelcoHybrid2016 In the following video from Kobelco Managing Director Makoto Kato explains the company’s plans for its Hybrid machines and the innovative use of battery power for increased fuel efficiency.
