Haulmax Australian muscle

Australian company Haulmax provides a purpose built product with inherent mining application design which offers cost effective haulage solutions over long distances in off highway applications.

Haulmax Australian muscle
Looking like a modern day and more stylish throwback to the Euclid haul trucks of the 1950’s, the Haulmax 3900 Series truck is built for heavy duty haulage over extended distances and is specifically designed for off highway haul roads and soft underfoot conditions. The truck boasts a complete Cat powertrain and is offered in three configurations: an 80 tonne dump truck; a 150 tonne low bed float; or a bare chassis unit presenting the ideal base for a service or water tank module. Picture features earlier 2700D model. These high speed & high capacity trucks are often considered to be more economical than motor scrapers over long distances. Cat components feature heavily on Haulmax trucks. The power train is designed and built by Caterpillar starting with a high torque electronic Caterpillar 787hp engine running through a matched 7-speed power shift transmission. Caterpillar oil-cooled multiple disc brakes offer exceptional fade resistant braking and retarding. Automatic Retarder Control (ARC) uses the oil-cooled rear brakes to enhance vehicle performance and productivity. To find out more about these Cat based trucks check out this promotional video from Haulmax.
Although extremely popular in Australia I am yet to discover one of these units at work anywhere in the UK.
