Hydradig day for JCB

Today the Digger Man Blog will be among an illustrious gathering of International press who are attending a significant 2 day pre-Bauma product launch at JCB’s World HQ in Staffordshire which will see an old product name brought back to life in an exciting new product from the British manufacturer.

Hydradig day for JCB
This new product has been much hyped on social media platforms for a good number of weeks now. At the Digger Man Blog we have tried to show restraint and not tried to spoil the unveiling, but today is the day when all will be revealed officially and you can just tell everyone is excited to see the machine in its full glory!   The HYDRADIG is expected to be a 10 class reduced tail swing wheeled excavator of compact dimensions with its engine located low down in the chassis offering world class visibility from the cab. We expect 4x4 steering, float boom function and a 40kph transmission. Of course those who are old enough to remember the early days of JCB or who have a keen interest in the history of the company, will recall that the first Hydra-Digga which was a backhoe loader variant was first launched in 1957, some two years after the launch of the original Mk 1 excavator. 1957 - the JCB Hydra-Digga was advertised as being able to dig through rock In this the company's 70th anniversary year its fitting to see the re-invention of an old model name and with a fantastic new product ready to be revealed, we expect the media frenzy to go into overdrive and I for one am very excited at the prospect of seeing this new machine in the flesh!
