Ice Time with Lännen

Just over a week ago I had the pleasure of visiting the team at LMCE Group, where I took in a tour of the factory in Loimaa, Finland.

The LMCE Group are probably more well known for producing the stunning Lännen backhoe loaders, which they like to refer too as ‘Multi-Functional’ machines.

I first visited this facility in 2017, but the factory has a long history of producing construction machinery and associated products. On this occasion, the main focus was to take a look at the latest M-Series backhoe loaders, and during my time there I was able to get up close and personal with the 8600M and its bigger brother the 8800M.

During my day there I was joined by senior members of the management team (pictured below), who gave me an informative presentation and guided tour around the machines including detailed explanations of the controls and functions of the M-Series models, all of which and more, I will be reporting on in more detail in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine.

At the end of the day, we had a bit of fun as I eloped with the 8600M demonstration model which became my own personal taxi, as I dashed along to the local Jäähalli aka ice rink, for some much-needed exercise and pleasure, you can check out the video below.
