It’s the Chinese way for LiuGong at Bauma

LiuGong unveiled an impressive number of new machines at Bauma, 20 in total if you include models from the company’s Dressta brand, here are a few of my favourites from the excavator range

We have been seeing the development of the brand in the UK for some time now and Portsmouth based dealership Construction Plant & Machinery Sales have had great success in getting the brand out there, with a large number of high profile customers taking the machines especially those involved in the demolition industry.

The E Series models are being well received in Europe and at Bauma the company showcased a number of upgrades to the range. Among these was the long awaited 915E which is powered by a Tier 4 Final Cummins QSB4.5 engine.

At the other end of the scale we saw the new 950E. This 50 tonne class machine is currently only available with a Stage 3A engine so is not suitable for European markets at this time.

Other machines on show included the well proven 922E and 925E models which have both been good sellers in the UK market. David Beatenbough, Vice President of Guangxi LiuGong Machinery Co. Ltd said, ““LiuGong has developed its own Intelligent Power Control system with this series, giving us the ability to exactly match the engine with the hydraulic pump and giving us better efficiencies and finer control of the bucket,”

There was also plenty of poppy red paint to see with most machines being displayed with British company Miller's quick couplers, breakers and attachments fitted to a number of machines on the stand. I expect to see the UK dealer CPMS at Hillhead this year, if you have not had a good look around one of these machines, that will more than likely be your next chance.
