JCB kit fits the bill for Plant-Fit

Fledgling Doncaster based plant hire business Plant-Fit is continuing to invest in new JCB machines for its exciting new fleet. The Digger Man Blog went along to take a look.

JCB kit fits the bill for Plant-Fit
Plant-Fit opened for business in January 2016 as a stand-alone dedicated plant hire arm of Doncaster based Derek Lewis, a well-known and respected company who have been engaged in road surfacing civil engineering and plant hire across the UK for some 35 years. The Plant-Fit business is headed by ambitious Managing Director Tom Lewis, who was previously involved with the plant side of things in the family business Derek Lewis. DSC_0013 With an ever expanding fleet of brand new JCB machines which have been supplied by local dealership TC. Harrison business is brisk to say the least. The new company is continuing to supply Derek Lewis with its machinery requirements, but in addition now Plant-Fit is targeting external work from other company’s and contractors who are looking to hire top quality kit. DSC_0004 The team behind Plant-Fit had certainly done their homework in terms of the company name and the dynamic new eye catching logo and artwork on the machines which also fits in well with the JCB branding on the machines. DSC_0021 We caught up with a selection of Plant-Fit’s new machines which were working on the site of their all new depot. The new yard will cover an area of 3.6 acres and will be home to two purpose-built units with additional yard storage, state of the art maintenance facilities and office space. DSC_0026 Recent additions to the fleet include 3x 3T STH dumpers and their first Loadall 525-60. There has also been talk that the company are interested in taking some of the revolutionary new Hydradig machines. DSC_0031 Talking about the move into new premises and purchasing more new kit Managing Director Tom Lewis said, “This expansion marks a significant milestone in the development of Plant-Fit. Increasing our productivity, effectiveness and efficiency will secure the long-term future of the organisation and allow the company to operate on a grander scale than ever before, continuing its ongoing success story”.
