Kubota on the build for David Einig

David Einig Contracting (DEC), one of the leading earth moving contractors and plant hire firms within Oxfordshire and the South East, is using Kubota excavators to construct its brand new headquarters just outside Thame in Oxfordshire.

The new 8,000 square foot facility, set for completion this summer, will include plant workshops to centralise all of DEC’s plant maintenance, office space to accommodate its growing workforce and an operator academy that will train the next generation of highly skilled plant machinery operators. David Einig Kubota 2 The ongoing development of the company’s new headquarters is a result of continued growth for DEC since its humble beginnings as a ‘one man band’ operation, when Managing Director David Einig purchased his first excavator aged just 17. Today DEC employs over 100 staff, who are out on site executing high quality contracting work, ranging from waste management facilities to large scale recycling projects, all of which rely upon best-in-class machinery to deliver results for its customers. The reliability and popularity of Kubota mini-excavators, sold through local Kubota dealer Boss Plant Sales, has played a key role in the rise of DEC’s plant hire division in recent years. With this in mind, it comes as no surprise that David has decided to use these machines for the development of DEC’s new HQ. David Einig Kubota 1 David commented on the project: “The Kubota excavators have proven themselves time and again as quality machines, especially with regards to reliability, productivity and fuel efficiency, meaning that they are a valuable asset on any project we undertake. Therefore, it made perfect sense to utilise the Kubotas in our fleet to help build our new state-of-the-art headquarters. “The Kubota KX080-4 mini excavator was ideal for digging the foundations of the building, the Kubota KX057-4 has undertaken the groundworks and drainage, and our Kubota U17-3 micro excavator has completed the small digging jobs at the side of the road.
