Previous good experiences with LM Trac machines manufactured by Oy Lai-Mu Ab, based in Rauma, and competitive pricing were the deciding factors in choosing this new machine. The company had two LM Trac 586 machines, one of which was now updated to the new model. Tommi Mikkonen, who was given the chance to operate the equipment, was very enthusiastic about the new machine after just a few hours of familiarization.

Lännen Kiinteistöpalvelu Oy was formed at the beginning of the millennium. The operations were a continuation of the heating company-based, property management business that had already been established in the 1970s.

“There were about fifteen people at the beginning of the 2000s. Now there are almost 150 people and the growth is still continuing,” says Petri Mäkelä, head of sales and customer relationships.

Lännen Kiinteistöpalvelu operates in Tampere and its neighboring municipalities. The company offers building services and maintenance of outdoor areas. The customer base includes commercial premises, logistics centers, industry and, most importantly, residential properties. There are four bases around the Pirkanmaa area.

There are about thirty property maintenance machines on the fleet. All the leading brands in the industry are represented, the largest being Kramer, which weighs just over 12 tons. With its four-ton unladen weight, this new LM Trac 587 falls into the so-called middle class. Due to its size and weight, it is well suited for use in parking garages and various deck structures.

Mäkelä defines the main tasks of the company’s machines as snow plowing, sanding, sand removal and autumn leaf collection.

More space

In mid-November, machine operator Tommi Mikkonen was already eagerly awaiting the arrival of snow so that he could get to work with the new machine. Tommi previously operated the now-replaced LM Trac 586, so it was easy for him to define the improved features of the new machine. There is more space in the cab in every direction, but especially legroom. There is also more window space in the renewed cab, which ensures better visibility in all directions. According to Tommi, the machine is quieter from the driver's seat. Heat is also available more efficiently than before, both for defrosting and for warming the driver.

that a new machine has arrived.

Only the base machine itself was updated, the old work attachments have been retained and deployed on the new machine. All machines in the company use the Kunta 500 work equipment bracket, which means that work attachments can be deployed on different machines as needed.

To the Hervantajärvi residential area

Tommi will use his new machine to manage the sites in the new Hervantajärvi residential area. For winter work, the machine will generally have a snow shovel attached to the front and a sand hopper attached to the rear. The machine was equipped with a new tilting rear linkage, which makes it easier to use different rear snow blowers. The basic machine, which was already well-equipped, was further enhanced with additional accessories, such as additional LED work lighting, an automatic lubrication system and an additional hydraulic oil condenser. This is necessary, for example, for spring cleaning work, where a lot of engine hydraulics are used to rotate the brushes.

The pressure relief valves on the front hydraulic connectors are now standard equipment. They eliminate many hassles when changing work equipment in snow and sleet. The new LM Trac 587 from Lännen Kiinteistöpalvelu is painted all white, in keeping with the companies traditional livery. At a later date, the machine will receive company-specific signage.
