More Plantworx Highlights

Plantworx 2015 is already being hailed as one of the greatest working plant and machinery shows ever held in the UK, with early indications on visitor numbers predicting at least a 20% rise on the previous show in 2013. In this blog I will post another selection of my favourite action shots from the 3 days.

Liebherr’s new PR 736 Stage IV emissions compliant dozer continues to make friends in the industry and was being displayed on the demonstration plot where it was also joined by the R 946 hydraulic excavator. Making its official UK debut on the Takeuchi stand was the new TB210R, the long awaited replacement for the outgoing TB108. The new machine offers lots of micro advantages with significant short tail swing and less than a metre width capacity but with valuable extending tracks for added stability when digging. A major star attraction on the Hydrema stand was Rob Taylors brand new MX14 rubber duck, which has been supplied with an Engcon tiltrotator and two piece boom. The long time served owner/operator has opted for the Danish brand following a visit to the wheeled excavator factory in Germany. Expect to see this machine featured in an upcoming Earthmovers article by Paul Argent. Talking of Engcon the secret was finally out when my latest machine the Takeuchi TB235 was unveiled on the companies stand at Plantworx sporting the EC206 tiltrotator. The machine was displayed statically but a demonstration was being performed by an Engcon equipped JCB JS130 which was also on the demo plot. Miller chose Plantworx to showcase its new PowerLatch Tilt coupler which also encompasses the proven Miller Twin Lock design. The unit can offer up to 180o tilt adding additional versatility and functionality. The unit was mounted on a Flannery Plant Hire Caterpillar 312E hydraulic excavator. On the LiuGong (CPMS) stand a couple of machines were being displayed on the demonstration plot, both of which have been purchased by big LiuGong customer J. Ffrench. The guy on the Dressta TD-15R dozer was drawing the crowds with his uphill “reach for the sky” pushing antics! And finally in this batch on the Case demo plot this CX145LCR was being put through its paces by a well know demonstrator on the show circuit. This machine was fitted with a quick hitch and bucket from fellow exhibitors, Bristol based, Whites Material Handling. Look out for more highlights over the weekend here on the Digger Man Blog.
