New Cat models to be showcased at the #CatProductLaunch event

This week’s blogs look set to be dominated by Caterpillar products as an illustrious gathering of International Press descends on Caterpillar’s Demonstration and Learning Centre in Malaga to check out the American giant’s exciting new models.

As a further endorsement of the power of online media, Caterpillar have kindly invited the Digger Man Blog along once more, to bring you a flavour of the event and to report on some of the new machines which many of us will be seeing for the first time at the impressive facility in Spain. A host of new models will be displayed, including the 745C articulated hauler, 336F XE H (Hybrid) excavator, M318F wheeled excavator, UK built 938M & 962M wheeled loaders  & 427F2 & 444F2 backhoe loaders, 963K tracked loader and the new 313F L GC hydraulic excavator which has caught my eye already! I will be getting hands on with a number of these new machines during my time in Malaga, which I will report on both on the blog and in Earthmovers Magazine over the coming weeks.  In the meantime check out this promotional video from Caterpillar featuring the new 313F L GC, which is powered by Caterpillar’s C3.4B Tier 4 final engine, which offers a power output rating of 70hp/52kw and is described as a powerful but economical machine. This new model which meets emissions regulations without the need for any diesel additive, looks set to appeal to users of this popular size machine around the world but especially in the highly competitive 13-14 tonne class sector in the UK. Indeed a number of UK contractors that I have spoken to recently, have already expressed an interest in buying this new model.
