Not so cutting edge Chinese crawler loader

I came across this photo on one of the many Facebook plant and machinery pages that now exist recently and just had to share this one!

No details sadly, but one can only imagine that this rather antiquated looking crawler loader, which has been manufactured in China, must have been designed to work in an underground location. And looking at the height of the roof, only someone of my stature could operate such a machine!

The operating controls don’t appear to be very ergonomically designed either, after a long day stretching forward to operate this machine, I suspect you would know you have done a shift! A quick glimpse down at the rubber pipework for the lift ram sees them looking extremely vulnerable to damage from debris build up. I guess the machines best feature is the side tipping bucket. While many Chinese companies are making big strides forward in the development of construction machinery, it would appear that there is still a long way to go for some of them.
