O&K in South Africa Classic Promotional Video (#FlashbackFriday)

As a young digger obsessed child, I grew up watching promotional films from the major manufacturers whenever I could get hold of one, nowadays we have the luxury of being able to see many of them on You Tube.

One early VHS tape I received came from Hitachi, focusing on large mining excavators, frustratingly I cannot remember the title, but I have not come across it despite trawling the internet for many hours.

However, while searching on You Tube over the weekend, I came across this promotional video from famous German manufacturer O&K on Videotimm’s channel.

This edition focusses on O&K’s operations in South Africa, and features such classic machines as the RH40, RH120C and RH200E models, and all accompanied by the traditional at the time well spoken English commentary.

It’s a bit slow to get going, as the commentator gives us some background blurb, but the machinery action starts around the 3.20 mark, so whizz forward if you so wish, enjoy.
