Old Cat on the pull

The vast majority of Digger Man blog readers love to see the old kit and to reminisce about the glory days of muckshifting, which in all fairness was at its height back in the days when I was just a youngster. But it’s a golden era that I myself have particular interest in too and this video features a couple of classics from those days.

This video from our friends over at Diesel Power TV features one of the all-time classics a Caterpillar D9 in action towing what appears to be a Le Tourneau scraper box. The video features some cracking camera angles and the soundtrack of the old Cat working away is music to my ears.
