One for the Doosan fans

There can be no denying Korean kit has come a long way since the early days when we first saw them being imported into the UK in the all “yellow” era of Daewoo.

It’s fair to say that Doosan have amassed a good following in the UK with many owners and operators swearing by the machines in terms of speed, power and operator comfort. For many too, it’s the fact that the company still continues to put 6 cylinder engines in the vast majority of machines, when other manufacturers are opting for 4 cylinders. I recently visited a site where the operator always insists on a Doosan excavator and is very reluctant to try anything else, I guess it’s a case of “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” and having had many good year’s operating the Korean machines, this operator cannot see any point in changing
