PJP Plant Hire opt for Cat’s latest 5 tonner
Independent plant hire company, PJP Plant Hire have recently taken delivery of their first Caterpillar 5.5 tonne 305.5 mini excavators, from local Compact Cat Dealership, Cautrac.
The company, who are based in Manchester, operate throughout Lancashire, Cheshire, & Merseyside, as a supplier to house builders, major utility and civil engineering companies. Speaking to the Digger Man Blog about the deal, Managing Director of PJP Plant Hire, Colin Power said, "Cautrac has a long standing relationship with PJP and their proximity to our head office in Manchester and their ability to supply machines quickly that are fitted with the required specification, were key factors for us. After a machine demonstration at the Cautrac depot, we were satisfied that they would be a perfect fit for our requirements. From our experience to date, I definitely think there is the potential to invest in more Cat machines in the future."
The Cat 305’s which have been supplied by Cautrac, are proving an extremely good seller. The machines “middle of the road” size makes it an ideal choice for a wide variety of applications. Add to that the superb level of operator comfort, combined with the machines compact radius, makes it an ideal machine for working efficiently on tight and congested sites.
Paul Hyslop, Cautrac Sales Manager, said, "I think this deal really serves to highlight the opportunities that are available to businesses in the Finning network of Cat Compact dealers. We have a long standing and healthy working relationship with PJP Plant Hire, and the availability of Cat machines in our fleet allowed us to meet its requirements exactly. We hope to build on this initial deal with PJP and do more business with them, as well as other companies in the region in need of premium plant equipment. The Cat range has allowed us to increase our compact offering with mini-excavators and skid steers in particular."
The new machines have been so well received by PJP's customers that an additional 12 units have just been ordered.
