Putting Case kit to the test

As this blog goes live this morning, I am on my way to the excellent Case Customer Centre in Monthyon to the north of Paris for a day’s test driving of some of the company’s latest models.

The purpose built €3 million customer centre was opened in 2009 and provides a first class venue for European & global customers, dealers and the press, to visit and sample the latest machines on offer from Case Construction Equipment. The venue is also host to the annual Case Rodeo Final where competitors from all over Europe take part in a series of challenges to win the title of best European operator. The purpose of this visit is to try out a number of the new Case products which were launched at Intermat in the French capital earlier this year. Machines which will be available to Earthmovers to try out include the new D Series excavators, M Series Dozers, F Series Compact Wheeled Loaders and perhaps most interestingly the new C Series motor graders, which should be a great experience as I have never actually had anytime on a grader previously. Of course being an excavator man, I will be looking forward to some stick time in the new D Series excavators. These new Sumitomo based models feature the proven Case Intelligent Hydraulic System that CX range users have become accustomed to for their impressive controllability and performance. Check out this promotional video from Case on the D Series machines. Said by Case to be a true best in class machine, these new models are the culmination of more than 30 years of grader design, drawing on experience from O&K and New Holland previously. The C Series consists of two models with operating weights of 13 and 16 tonnes and are available in 6x4 and 6x6 All Wheel Drive versions to match customer’s requirements on site. These graders feature the patented Hi-eSCR technology developed by FPT Industrial – the only solution on the market, according to Case, that meets Tier 4 Final standards with only Selective Catalytic Reduction.  Check out this promotional video for more detail on the new grader models.
