Sany puts on a show at Bauma

Chinese construction equipment manufacturer Sany was keen to put on a show at Bauma last month and on a busy stand they had a wide range of their products to look at.

Featuring an all-new bodywork style the 50 tonne class SY500H hydraulic excavator was the largest machine on the stand. This looks to be a great improvement in styling to me and according to Lyle Sibbald, Regional Sales Manager for UK dealers TDL Equipment this design will be rolled out across the range during the coming months and years. DSC_0263 A specially constructed demonstration arena had been set up with steel plates to enable easy manoeuvrability of the machines which consisted of a 7.5 tonne SY75C and SY215 21 tonne class models who were to perform stunts alongside dancing girls and a troupe of musicians. DSC_0262 Sany like some of the other Chinese brands are making their way into the UK market with owners and accountants seeming to be delighted with them. With most using well proven components they appear to be reliable enough but its convincing operators on the merits of any Chinese brand that seems to be the hardest battle. Having said that, we have been here before with the today's well known Korean brands and just look how well they sell now.
