Sunshine and pasties at the MST Kubota dig day

Westcountry based Kubota dealer MST (Medland Sanders & Twose) held another of its popular “dig day” events on Friday and Saturday of last week, the Digger Man Blog went along to the Westpoint Arena for a piece of the action.

MST in association with Kubota UK had a large display of Kubota machines all available to operate in a real life digging plot which was separated into two sections, one primarily for excavators and one for compact wheeled loaders and tracked dumpers. DSC_0574 There was a steady flow of visitors on the Friday and even more on the Saturday who were all keen to get “hands on” with the latest Kubota products. After a few test drives there was an opportunity for visitors to enjoy a hot pasty and a drink while talking to Kubota experts including the “legend” and face of Kubota in the UK Geoff Smith who is a dealer manager and product specialist, what Geoff doesn’t know about Kubota isn’t worth knowing! DSC_0599 Check out Geoff in this video as he explains the fine detail about the U27-4 mini excavator. Geoffrey is in the market for a new machine and tilt-rotator and with the guys from Engcon UK at the event too, he decided to come down and take a look. DSC_0596 Smallest excavator at the event was the new U10-3 which features servo side mounted levers. I will post a dedicated blog post on this machine soon. DSC_0581 Wide selections of compact wheeled loaders were available to try out including the RT210. This machine tips the scales at 2113 kg with canopy and 2213 kg with fully heated cab and a tipping load of 950 kg (straight position), the RT210 is a versatile wheel loader very well suited to a wide variety of applications including farming and construction.
