“The Big Push” in miniature

We don’t often feature scale models here on the Digger Man Blog but every now and then something catches my eye while surfing the web like these stunning remote controlled dozers.

“The Big Push” in miniature
These stunning fully operational 1:14 scale models of Komatsu’s D65PX-17 dozer, are so life like it’s unreal and must be the ultimate big boys toy on the Christmas wish list this year! The model is so highly detailed it even features a working 6 way PAT dozer blade and contra-rotating tracks. The models are built in Germany by a guy who was not able to find an example of the machine like this in the scale he wanted so he decided to build his own, a project which started back in September 2013 with a prototype model being completed in September 2014. komatsu-d65px-model In the following video we see 3 of the models produced by Constructionzone-RC in action performing their own Komatsu version of the “Big Push” made famous by an American construction machinery giant that we all know about. I think you will be impressed with the quality of these models.
I am unsure of the availability of these models for general sale and I am sure they will be pretty expensive if you commissioned the guy to build you one, but hey, its only money and you can’t take it with you at the end of the day!
