The Yanmar Masters
I recently had the opportunity to take part in the inaugural Yanmar Masters event, which took place at the manufacturers extensive facilities in Saint-Dizier in France.
The event was aimed at construction machinery social media content creators, a sector which I have become increasingly involved in these days, and of course when companies invite me along in a social media capacity, they also gain the opportunity to potentially be featured in one of my journalistic contributions to the UK & Ireland's leading publication Earthmovers Magazine.
Yanmar Compact Equipment EMEA invited five individuals along to this first event, which was to pave the way for future editions. The five creators attending included two from France, one from Germany and two of us from the UK, namely Solène Treptel, Henri Guelpa, Faber Stratmann, Conor Kelly, and yours truly, Digger Man Blog.

The event covered nearly two days, with travelling and on the second day it opened with a visit to the factory where we got to see raw sheets of steel being transformed into working mini excavators, something that is always interesting to see.
We later visited the distribution centre which is close by, where machines are finally checked over before loading onto transport to be delivered to dealer’s yards right across Europe.

The day climaxed with an enjoyable afternoon spent test driving the latest Yanmar machines on the demonstration plot, including a series of fun challenges, which we all enjoyed very much.

There will be a more in-depth report on this event and a test drive report on the all new SV39 mini excavator in the next edition of Earthmovers which will be in the shops on 7th November.
