Volvo’s new “Duck” breaks cover

Photos are now circulating on the internet of Volvo’s new E series wheeled excavator the EW160E, which I am happy to reproduce here on the Digger Man Blog.

Once again the guys over at the top Swedish plant & machinery forum, where I started out on the internet Maskinisten.net, have come up trumps with what appear to be some exclusive shots of the impressive looking new model. There is not much technical detail on the new machines on the internet as yet, but I expect to see these machines in the flesh along with a number of other new models at Intermat in Paris this coming April. I would imagine that most of these shots were taken at Volvo's demonstration centre in Eskilstuna, Sweden. A number of UK customers already have the new machines on order for delivery later this year, which we will no doubt be covering on the blog and in Earthmovers Magazine.
