Volvo’s New Generation Wheel Loaders Explored

My recent visit to a Volvo CE customer in my local area got me thinking about visits I have made to the company’s facility in Eskilstuna, this led to me doing a search for material on You Tube, where I came across a video featuring some well-known faces from the construction machinery social media scene.

The video featured at the bottom of this post is an awesome cinematic production focusing on the new generation of Volvo wheeled loaders, from the ever-popular L150 to the L260, showcasing the full line up of Volvo’s latest machines for the construction and quarrying sectors.

The video is presented by Volvo Construction Equipment’s Launch Manager Olga Ölund who also talks to the various social media machine operators who were brought in to test drive the new machines, including from Scotland, Steve Williams, of Tiltrotator Operators media, and the Irish guy behind Mostly Diggers social media accounts.  

What I really enjoyed at the start of the video was the look back at the old models from the early Bolinder Munktell days of the company, many of which I have had the pleasure of seeing at the impressive museum in Eskilstuna.

The video also features in-depth walkarounds of the new machines with Volvo CE product experts, who offer insights into the latest Volvo technologies, such as OptiShift, Load Assist and On-Board Weighing, all designed to improve the machines productivity and versatility.

Filmed on the manufacturer’s impressive demonstration area in front of the grandstand, it really is a great watch, enjoy!
