Wacker Neuson Expands its Rubber Duck Range

Wacker Neuson has revealed a larger new wheeled excavator, increasing the manufacturers presence in the competitive mid-range size class.

The Wacker Neuson EW135 which will compete in the 13-15-tonne sector, is a natural addition to the manufacturers hugely popular EW100 10-tonne class model, which we all often see on road projects up and down the country in the UK in particular.

Powered by a Stage V emissions compliant 100kW, 4-cylinder Perkin’s diesel engine, the new-model features a TAB (Triple Articulated Boom) and has been developed with a focus on powerful lifting capability. According to Wacker Neuson, the machine is said to use intelligent hydraulics with MiC 4.0 technology which supports the use of modern tiltrotator systems and other hydraulic attachments.

As is becoming the industry standard these days, the EW135 features an electrohydraulic pilot control system, that can be adjusted to suit individual operator’s performance preferences. The system can also store a raft of operator’s profiles, so following days off, an operator can always re-select his preferred operating style profile.

The stylish looking machine is fitted with a whole host of safety features including, an Active Working Signal (AWS), Auto Brake function, and an Overload Warning System which coincidentally is displayed via the full colour 10-inch monitor, which Wacker Neuson describe as the Human Machine Interface.   

The safety package also includes LED work lights, access steps in high-visibility colours, and the machine’s overall stability. With driving speeds of up to 35 km/h, Wacker Neuson describes the EW135 as combining the performance needed for demanding applications with the flexibility of a modern wheeled excavator.
