Wacker Neuson Universe Wows the Crowds
Multi-faceted construction machinery manufacturer Wacker Neuson recently invited customers, partners and employees from all over Europe to its Universe 2026 event held in Hörsching near Linz, Austria. For those of us who didn’t get an invite, here’s a brief summary of the action that visitors saw.
Running for a whole week, the event offered insights into products, solutions, and future topics. Under the motto ‘Solutions Built for You’, Wacker Neuson demonstrated how the company supports customers with practical solutions, works with them as partners, and prepares them for future challenges.
Demonstrations, personal exchanges with experts, and the opportunity to test machines first-hand were all part of the offering.
“The Wacker Neuson Universe offered a unique brand experience and the ideal platform to introduce new products, bring the entire portfolio to life, and foster direct dialogue with our customers and partners,” said Alexander Greschner, chief sales officer.
One highlight was the unveiling of the new EW135 wheeled excavator, which showcased its capabilities during a heavy-lift demonstration. As previously reported on the Digger Man Blog, the models permanently mounted articulated boom is designed to increase stability and enable high lifting forces. Intelligent hydraulics, MiC 4.0 technology, and the integration of modern attachments are said to lay the foundation for ‘precise and versatile’ applications.

Wacker Neuson also presented the new WL750p and WL950p performance wheel loaders. The recently launched models offer a range of options and configurations for various application requirements. Intelligent assistance systems such as the loading assistant, automatic bucket return and lift height limiter aim to simplify repetitive work processes.
The manufacturer also provided insights into product development and showcased selected studies and concepts. These included examples from the design process, virtual development methods, applications from prototype construction, and remote-controlled and autonomous machine concepts.

Compact excavators and dumpers are produced for worldwide use on the 170,000 sqm production and development site in Hörsching. Guests were offered insights into the logistics, the paint shop, shipping area, and production lines for these machines during factory tours.
Attendees also visited the Wacker Neuson TestArena, which went into operation in 2023 and is located in the immediate vicinity of the production plant. The eight-hectare site is equipped with testing stations for function, driving, braking, and noise tests. Approximately 70% of the site is designed as a habitat for wildlife and a nature reserve, ensuring the venue combines innovative product development and real-world testing with a clear commitment to environmental responsibility.
