The Digger Man Blog is giving readers a chance to win a free pair of Cat boots just for engaging with us and offering us your best plant auction tips.

Over the coming weeks I am going to be finding out just what is involved in purchasing used equipment from experts at Finning and IronPlanet, in the run up to their first European Auction on the 20^th April at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Northamptonshire. The landmark auction looks set to reinvent the concept of unreserved public auctions in the United Kingdom. The event will be the first in a series of quarterly unreserved auction events across locations in Great Britain, aimed at buyers of used heavy equipment from the UK and other International markets. The on-site auction will be supported by IronPlanet’s online marketplace, allowing bidders to attend online from anywhere in the world. What we want to know is your top tips on what to look out for when buying used equipment and any advice you would give to someone bidding at an auction? I will then put these tips to the experts when I meet them next week and any questions you have and they will help me judge the winner. Kit is already starting to arrive at Rockingham ahead of the auction.
