7-Up for Digger Boy Charlie
Incredibly today, Charlie will be celebrating his 7th birthday, a milestone that has come around very quickly, since we started following Charlies adventures around construction and agricultural equipment some two years ago now.
As we have reported previously, Charlie has faced many challenges in his short life, his parents were told at 30 weeks pregnant that he may not walk or talk due to an abnormality showing on scans in his brain, he was eventually born at 37 weeks and was not breathing, which saw him spending his earliest days in the neonatal intensive care unit. He then basically spent the first three-years of his life in and out of hospital.
Charlie is always expectant of a surprise digger related visit on his birthday’s and I have no doubt mum Laura will have something planned. With the Covid-19 scenario that we are all going through, opportunities to get out to see machines in action have been very limited this year, which has made it tough not only for Charlie, but for the family as well as they have all been shielding to protect him.
