A Bobcat amongst the Equines
For Colorado based couple Heidi and Erik Bradberry, the thought of leaving the city streets of Denver to live in the mountains running a horse livery yard had long been a pipe dream. They took over an existing equine property, West Wind Stables in late 2017, but quickly realised that without any form of machinery it is back breaking work.
Talking about those early days Heidi said, “Back then everything was done by hand, we put hay in baskets so we could carry it up the hill. We had no way to manage the manure. We had no way to deal with the extra items that were left behind from the previous owner.”
With Heidi’s husband working away a solution was needed to assist her in the day to day work and that came in the shape of a Bobcat T450 compact tracked skid steer loader. In the following video from Bobcat we find out just how much it has helped her on a daily basis.
