ABAX tech for Hitachi excavator

Berge Bygdeservice, a Norwegian contracting firm owned by 23-year old Simen Berge, has recently purchased a Hitachi ZX65USB-6 excavator complete with technology from ABAX. This software platform enables Hitachi’s new Zaxis-6 range of mini-excavators to communicate with the manufacturer’s remote monitoring system, Global e-Service. Simplifying fleet management and maintenance, the system also allows access to operational data including idling time, which can help productivity and efficiency. Crucially, it can be retrofitted to previous generation models by authorised Hitachi dealers in Europe.

Based in Lillestrøm, Berge Bygdeservice’s fleet consists of four Hitachi excavators (the ZX65USB-6, plus a ZX17U-5, ZX85US-5 and ZX145W-3), and a wheel loader (a new ZW150-6). All four machines were supplied by Nasta, the authorised dealer in Norway.
