Articulated haulers clock up 48,000 hours

Four Terex articulated haulers have clocked up around 48,000 hours at the Arpatsky coal mine, a remote coal mine in eastern Siberia, Russia. Sub-zero temperatures and extreme conditions puts mining equipment to the ultimate test and for the last eight years, four Terex Trucks TA400 articulated haulers have been working at the mine, delivering reliable shifts despite the adverse conditions.

The dump trucks work for up to 22 hours a day transporting coal and overburden with temperatures particularly harsh during the long winter. For many months of the year the ground is covered in snow and the temperature can plummett to minus 45˚ Celsius which means the trucks have to operate on slippery surfaces anad navigate steep, icey slopes. This ability to climb and descend as well as the truck's reliable and powerful performance in such adverse conditions was one of the reasons Terex was chosen over other brands.

Since 2012 the haulers have already clocked over 48,000 hours and are still going strong in one the world's toughest jobsites.
