Avant expansion marches on

Family owned business Avant Techno Oy was founded in 1991 by Risto Käkelä and has been manufacturing its distinctive green machines in Ylojarvi, near the industrial heartland of Tampere ever since, where it currently employs around 200 people. The company continues to go from strength to strength. In 2018 Avant Tecno Oy exceeded its EUR 100 million turnover for the first time by up to 17% compared to the previous financial year. The ambitious company is investing heavily in its manufacturing facility to meet the growing demand for its products of which 80% are now exported to over 55 countries. Production is expanding all the time and the facility currently produces 100 machines per week, with the new expanded production line that covers some 10,000 m2 this will increase to 150 machines per week in due course. Talking about the company’s plans Avant Techno’s Sales Director and son of the founder Jani Käkelä said, “Customer needs are the basis for our R&D. This way we can develop products which have real demand on the market. So far, we have reached our targets well, however we must keep our finger on the pulse regarding the products, production as well as our operation as a whole” The company also revealed its largest ever compact loader models the 800 Series which will be officially launched at Bauma in Munich in April. I will be covering the company’s plans and giving more details on the new 800 Series models in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine, but in the meantime check out this excellent video from the press event by our good friends over at Finnish publication Koneporssi.
