Back to Black with Swedish 'Pimped' Liebherr

Konungsgärde Åkeri AB based in Boras, Sweden, specified something a bit special for their latest Liebherr machine. Let’s face it, nobody “pimps” an excavator like our Nordic cousins and this example is without doubt one of the finest I have seen in all the years I have been travelling to Sweden now. The list of additions to the standard specification is impressive, at the business end the machine is fitted with a Rototilt R4 with Oilquick and Grabble RG800 which has also been specially painted and includes the Rototilt ICS (Innovative Control System). Cejn Multi-X quickcouplers for hydraulic pipes and for greasing of the stick. Boom suspension systems ensures a smooth ride when roading the machine, the machine also comes complete with Liebherr branded EM22 tyres. Pull out toolboxes by PG-Tech have been built into the undercarriage for storing of tools oils etc. A Scharmuller K80 trailer coupling was fitted and hydraulic trailer brakes. A single line circuit is provided for tipping of the trailer and a second line works the tailgate. The trailer itself is a Randex XD85 model supplied with special tyres, paint and fenders from the factory. In the cab the operator gets a premium heated seat, heated and electrically adjustable mirrors, adjustable boom, blade and all functions for the trailer are proved via the joystick controls, the latest Leica MCP80 machine control system has been installed and tinted windows provide relief from snow and sun glare. 3 cameras, one on the back, one on the offside of the machine and an additional one on the right that offers a view like a mirror. No less than 11 extra Liebherr Nordic working lights have been added from the factory, 10 yellow side marking flashing lights along the sides and 5 red lights on the rear counterweight. The machine was painted black in the factory while the stunning Transformer themed airbrush artwork on the counterweight was done by Swedish company Litab Lack. Buckets for this machine were supplied by Swedish manufacturer EMA. Check out this walk-around video for the showground in Stockholm.
