Bobcat showcases new wheel loaders at GaLaBlau

Bobcat is showcasing its new L100 and updated L85 compact wheel loaders at GaLaBau 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The L100, with a 1.0m³ bucket capacity, and L85, with a 0.8m³ capacity, feature a redesigned operator’s workstation, increased hydraulic performance and a range of options aimed at landscaping, horticulture, municipal and material-handling applications.“Compact wheel loaders in landscaping are under pressure every day: completing many work cycles, dealing with changing ground conditions and often very limited space. The new L100 and the L85 are built for exactly that,” says Matyáš Heuer, loader product manager at Bobcat. “They are intuitive to operate from the first shift, deliver high breakout forces for clean penetration and keep the bucket steady even on uneven terrain.” Both models come as standard with a heated cab, adjustable steering wheel, automatic parking brake, seat-mounted joystick and high-resolution display. A range of application-specific options allows the machines to be configured for different types of work.

Redesigned operator’s workstation

The joystick on the new machines allows up to four attachment functions to be controlled without the operator removing their hand. An optional 5-inch colour display provides access to additional machine settings. Three drive response modes can be selected to adjust acceleration, braking and forward-reverse switching according to the application. Working-mode maximum speed can also be adjusted between 8 and 16km/h. Automatic attachment recognition identifies connected Bobcat attachments and adjusts the joystick controls accordingly. Other assistance functions include automatic ride stabilisation, which activates the boom suspension through an integrated hydraulic accumulator to keep the bucket steadier when travelling. A return-to-position function stores and recalls the bucket position, while a bucket-shake function is designed to help empty sticky materials. Engine auto-stop and adjustable working-group speed are also available.

Road and site versatility

The L85 and L100 can be specified with maximum travel speeds of 20, 30 or 40km/h, depending on registration requirements and application. An optional hitch rated to 3.5 tonnes, with electrical connection, allows equipment to be towed between sites. Additional options for more demanding conditions include a counterweight, reversible cooling fan, protective plates and a ground protection kit.

Servicing and telematics

Both models use a single service point for the machine and engine, designed to simplify routine maintenance. Bobcat Machine IQ telematics is fitted as standard, providing real-time operating data, remote diagnostics and remote engine lockout functions. The system can also be used for fleet management and theft protection. The standard warranty is two years or 2,000 operating hours, with an optional extension available to five years or 6,000 hours.

Increased hydraulic performance

Auxiliary hydraulic pressure has been increased from 205 to 235bar, representing a 15% increase. Bobcat says the additional pressure improves the performance of power-hungry attachments such as angle brooms, snow blowers and multipurpose sweepers. A High Flow option provides hydraulic flow of up to 103.5 litres/minute. The Quick Tach quick coupler is fitted as standard, while the Bob-Tach system and seven- and 14-pin electrical connections are available as options. The increased hydraulic performance and attachment options are intended to broaden the range of tools that can be used with the L85 and L100.
