Cat Dozer stars in Wedding Photoshoot

I recently came across this story which was featured on the Caterpillar website, and I’m delighted to reproduce extracts of that piece here.

JP Tracy has been operating heavy equipment from the age of 10, and its clearly one of his great passions along with his other major interest, which is motocross bike riding. He can often be found running a dozer at the motocross track in Tomahawk, where he helps the owner maintain the course and the jumps.

It was at this track back in 2013 that JP met is wife to be Ashleigh and love blossomed through a mutual interest in the high-octane sport of motocross.

To cut a long story short, the couple tied the knot on September 19th 2020 and it was a fitting tribute that the wedding took place at the Tomahawk MX Park venue in West Virginia, where they had first met all those years ago and even got engaged there. Even on the morning of the wedding JP had spent a few hours on a Cat D3K 2 LGP grooming the dirt in preparation for the day’s events, in particular he was creating an area where the ceremony would take place.

Ashleigh and JP said, “Tomahawk is one of the most local tracks to us, so we ride there often and have a good relationship with the owner.”

Fortunately for them, their outdoor wedding venue allowed them to safely celebrate with family and friends, despite the COVID 19 pandemic.

As is so often the case with machine men and women, the equipment became a focal point for a number of wedding photos to be treasured for many years to come, and the cute little dozer was looking mighty fine behind the groom and his beautiful bride.

Our congratulations go out to the happy couple and we thank Caterpillar for the material contained in this post with credit to the photographers Love and Sol Photography.
