Cat rolls out the new 657K motor scraper

Like all the earlier K Series models these machines feature a whole raft of technological additions, like Grade Control, aimed at making the operators work easier whilst making the machine more fuel efficient too. The machine is powered by twin Tier 4 final engines with a Cat C18 ACERT unit at the front offering a power output of 580hp, while the rear power unit is a Cat C15 ACERT offering 442hp, that’s a combined power output of 1,022hp. As is standard for the 657 it features a 44 cubic yard capacity bowl but the new model features strengthening improvements to the apron and ejector. Maximum speed when fully loaded is 33 mph.
