What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, is probably one of the most well know qoutes in advertising history, We tend not to agree and are delighted that we have been sent in these shots from the latest machinery fest in Nevada. Case had the latest version of its hugely popular Sumitomo derived 21 tonne class hydraulic excavator the CX210D. The CX range across the board, are gaining friends in the industry for their smoothness of operation, fuel economy and incredible reliability. Get a taste of the action in this video from the Case media team at the show.
Also on display on the Case stand was a large TV screen mounted at the back of the CX210D excavator showing the company’s 360o vision camera system, which seem to be the latest must have accessory with the health & safety guys on sites. Not content with blowing the visitors away with the world famous dancing digger display, UK manufacturer JCB blew the top off a van to reveal members of former America’s Got Talent competitors Recycled Percussion performing inside! Check out the highlights from JCB at Conexpo in this video clip.
There was no American appearance for Liebherr’s big PR 776 Hi-Drive dozer but the next best thing was on display in the form of the conventional tracked PR 756 which is the German company’s third largest Austrian built track type tractor. The Italian Eurocomach range of hydraulic excavators do seem to be taking their time to gain sales in the UK, but you have to say they do appear to be a stylish looking piece of kit and if the price is right, it can only be a matter of time before we start seeing them out on UK sites. This ES 95 TR 9.5 tonne tonne class model on display in Las Vegas featured a TAB boom arrangement, Engcon tilt-rotator and angle dozer set up. The largest Hitachi excavator on display at Conexpo was this Zaxis 870LC model which dominated the Japanese manufacturer’s indoor stand. I’m not quite sure what the black curtain around the underside is all about though? Chinese company XCMG displayed a variety of examples from its range of construction equipment including this XT 870BR backhoe loader in its American centre mount configuration. I have to say it’s not really going to win any beauty contests is it! Talking of beauty, the styling of the latest Case dozer range like this 1650M XLT model does seem to split people on the various social media platforms these days, personally I think it looks great but as with most of these things machine selection and preferences can be a very personal thing. Our friends at Bell Equipment North America used Conexpo to showcase its all new Bell B60E articulated dumptruck. Tipping the scales at 60.6 tonnes the truck has a load capacity of 45.8 cubic yards and is powered 577hp Tier 4 Final Mercedes engine. There are always weird and wonderful items of kit to be found at the big shows and Conexpo was no different. Ken came across this OLKO-Maschinentechnik GmbH amphibious excavator which features a German built Atlas excavator mounted on board. That concludes our look at some of the highlights from Kenneth’s trip to Las Vegas, we thank him for sharing these shots with us and now we will all be focusing on the next big show, our very own Plantworx 2017!
