Crowds pour in on day one of the Doe Show

Our regular reporter at this event was once again former Hyundai demonstration legend Doug Potter, who has sent us these photos taken at the showground today. Greeting visitors at the entrance to the show was this Hyundai R330-9A, which has been sold by Doe’s who are the local Hyundai dealer, to Chelmsford based G & B Finch Ltd., who are earthmoving, haulage, recycling, concrete crushing and screening specialists. Taking to the seat on the demonstration plot on this occasion was Doug Potter’s good friend Colin Wood, who operates for long term Hyundai users Wormell Plant. Colin put one of Wormell’s brand new Hyundai R145LCR-9 compact radius machines through its paces. Colin was also charged with loading site dumpers from Ernest Doe’s portfolio of products, including this Thwaites 6 tonne swivel skip offering. A number of Hyundai’s latest Dash-9 mini excavators were also on display, alongside examples of Hyundai wheeled loaders, including the HL770-9 model. In addition to the Hyundai, New Holland and Thwaites machine on display, there are also examples of Case/IH and New Holland tractors and Manitou telescopic handlers for both construction and agricultural sectors. The show continues for the next two days, so if you are in the area why not pop along, and check out some of the latest products that are on offer. The show is an early opportunity to catch up with friends and work colleagues at what is a really cracking show. In this shot we see three legends from the plant and machinery world. From left to right, Graham Black, editor of Earthmovers Magazine, Doug Potter retired Hyundai demo operator and PR & media guru Louise Murphy.
