Demolition work begins on Wembley Way

West Midlands company Armac Group has deployed a number of excavators to London to demolish Wembley Stadium’s Pedway entry ramp, more fondly known as ‘Wembley Way’ and built in 1974. Machines on the job include Caterpillar's 336F and 352, along with a Volvo EC380E – all making great use of hydraulic hammers and cutter jaws to attack the reinforced concrete structure.

The demolition work is part of Quintain’s redevelopment of Wembley Park. The company aims to build 8,500 houses in the area by 2027. Currently, there are 1,500 construction workers on site and almost half of them come from the local Brent area.
