Digger to get into the Finnish way

Lannen Tractors designs and manufactures specialist high specification machines for the construction, utility and rail sectors concentrating on the markets in Northern Europe. These territories can be among the most challenging in the world especially during the long winter months so the machines have to be strong and reliable to cope with the harsh conditions. The main core product is the articulated backhoe loader, which are of the highest quality and feature the best specification available, it is these machines which I will be keen to get “hands on” with for a “First Drive” report for Earthmovers Magazine during my visit.

Of course it’s not all backhoe loaders as the Finnish company recently acquired the share capital of Swedish wheeled loader and tool carrier business Lundberg Hymas AB. In addition to that side of the business the company under its tradename “Watermaster” also manufacturer’s machinery for waterway construction.

Add into the mix some traditional Finnish sauna time, ice skating, ice hockey and great hospitality I must say this is one work trip I am really looking forward too.
