Digger's Bauma Highlights (Part Eight) Doosan

Doosan presented two examples from its new mini excavator range which feature Stage V emission compliant engines. The 2.7 tonne DX27z and 3.5 tonne DX35z are zero tailswing models which according to Doosan offer a best-in-class mix of stability, smooth controllability and high digging forces. As a true ZTS machine (even with the optional heavy counterweight), the DX27z offers the highest flexibility of movements when working close to walls. The DX35z is a new generation model in the popular 3.5 tonne machine class offering the additional benefits of ZTS design. Sharp eyed readers will note that these machines are very similar to the recently launched Bobcat models. Doosan also chose Bauma to reveal its new LC-7 range of excavators which will feature Stage V emissions compliant engines. On stand was the DX300LC-7 which in addition to sporting the new decals and engine upgrade, also features improved in cab comfort and ergonomics. There was also an official public debut for Doosan’s 80 tonne class DX800LC-5B, which replaces the outgoing DX700LC model. Designed to offer outstanding productivity, high fuel efficiency, superior comfort for the operator, enhanced reliability, durability and maximum uptime. The machine is designed to meet the needs of heavy-duty mining and quarrying applications as well as major infrastructure construction projects. The Stage V emissions compliant machine was on static display with the new Doosan 45  tonne class articulated hauler the DA45 which like the DA30 features an all new cab design, self-levelling front suspension and a new tandem bogie system.
