Digger’s weekly social media round up #25

Grant Mrg Linton posted a couple of photos of a new Doosan DX530LC-5 which had arrived in the Promac yard and was being prepared for its new owner, who according to Grant has some big holes to dig! If you missed it, check out the post and photos by clicking on this link. 16114890_240867369692401_7473114012677677140_n Rich Appleby posted a photo that has been doing the rounds on many of the plant and machinery pages that are running on Facebook now. The shot reveals a labourer filling up the skip of a forward tipping dumper with diesel, having apparently been told to “fill the dumper up with fuel”. You really have to ask the question is this for real? can anyone really be that dumb? On second thoughts, don’t answer that! Check it out by clicking on this link. 16298426_262239397539616_3080026049059869239_n Another Grant, this time Grant McGregor posted a cracking photo of yet another LiuGong excavator working away with the iconic Gherkin and other famous landmark London buildings as a backdrop. This particular 915D model is owned by Coleman & Co and was working running a concrete pulveriser attachment. Check it out here. 16143521_447649375624643_2338123191519281555_o One of the biggest announcements this week came from Roger Van Nispen of Dutch online title BouwmachineWeb, as they scooped the first photos of the new fixed boom version of Takeuchi’s TB2150. The TB2150R as it will be known, is currently undergoing tests in Austria of all places but it appears that no official date for general release is forthcoming yet. Check out the amazing photos by clicking on this link.  16195548_1339042399502540_6586946871567882537_n Another hot topic over the past week or two has been the upgrading of the Case T Series backhoe loaders. Jamie Hunt was a privileged visitor to Turin to take a closer look at the new machines and kindly posted a series of photos for Digger Man Blog readers to see. The shots prompted a good response from readers who were keen to voice their opinions on the things they liked and of course the things they didn’t! If you missed the thread you can check it out by clicking on this link. 16114554_1911888129039823_8533411512166463413_n Digger Man Blog readers are an adaptable bunch and when faced with a problem it would appear that they always come up with a solution. Cieran Hirst certainly did this week when he had to change a wheel on his Astra van. Unfortunately his bottle jack would not go under the van, so it was a case of get the mini digger over and use a few bits of timber to make a lever to jack the van up! Check it out here. 16298887_1307661835962199_7312774934222888913_n How about this for some stunning scenery, Ethan Anderson posted this shot as he arrived on site with his Cat 308E which I note is a fixed boom model unlike the ones we see in the UK. He also talks about his desire to buy a tiltrotator. Take a look at the post by clicking on this link and join the debate. 16195200_10158074703945573_8671326078699645679_n Till next week, have a great weekend and keep on digging and posting here on the Digger Man Blog Facebook page.
