Digger’s weekly social media round up #28

Geoff Stratford was one of many who shared this photo from the internet on the Digger Man Blog Facebook page this week, depicting a woman in tears due to the fact her man loves diggers just that little bit too much! I’m sure many of us can relate to this emotion from our significant other halves, I know I can! If you missed it take a look at the thread by clicking on this link.  DMB Facebook page contributor David McCulloch clearly has an eye for a great shot and from the quality seen here a very decent camera I would say. David’s photos from the Hemerdon Mine job in Devon are stunning and a very welcome addition to the page when he posts them up. This latest batch capture a Bell B50D making a splash through a muddy puddle on the job, check them out here. The guys from TDL Equipment have apparently been out on a bit of a tour of the South West demonstrating the Sany SY16C mini excavator and Peter Atkinson posted a series of photos from his flying tour. The shots prompted a discussion about the merits of the Chinese machines with the usual batch of different opinions cropping up. Take a look at the thread here.   How about this for a stunning drawing of Jason Snaith’s Cat D6N which was drawn by a very talented lady and organised by Brian Gilbert for Jason. I can see someone becoming very busy with commissions in the future on the strength of the quality of this drawing! Check it out and the comments by clicking on this link. Drawings of plant and machinery featured again in Steve Maloney’s post entitled some operators have more than 1 talent. This awesome drawing was copied from a photo of a 1953 Caterpillar no 112 motor grader and I think you will agree its stunning! Check out the original photo in the thread here. I was delighted to read Will Jack Goldstone’s positive feedback on the JCB JS131LC that he has been operating recently at what looks like JCB’s Arena demo ground area just a short drive across from the World HQ. Check out the thread here. Finally in this week’s highlight round up we have this post from Richard Carless who is offering this unique Caterpillar themed number plate for sale. The plate will go to the highest bidder and Richard will then split the money raised with half of it being donated to the winning bidders chosen charity. Find out more details on how to bid by clicking on this link which will take you directly to the post, I wish you all good luck! There will be no edition of the round up next week as I will be travelling back from an assignment in Sweden, but I look forward to seeing all the regulars on here next week at some point, keep shooting and posting your photos while I'm away!
