Doubled production speed for North East plant hirer

A plant hirer has invested in a brand new JCB 140X with features which take its productivity to new levels.

Purchased by Middlesbrough-based J&J Plant (NE) Ltd, the 140X is part of JCB’s new 13-16 tonne range of X Series crawler excavators, launched last year. Supplied by dealer TCH JCB the machine is already being put to use on a range of construction, drainage and general site work.

J&J Plant (NE) Ltd’s 140X is fitted with an Engcon tilt rotator as well as a sophisticated Leica guidance system and is already impressing with its increased versatility, strength and stability.

The new 14-tonne model features a wider operator cab for all-day comfort, incredible in-cab noise reductions of up to 68%, modern styling with durable strike points to reduce total cost of ownership. It also has increased diameter high-flow pipework to reduce system losses and boost efficiency.

J&J Plant (NE) Ltd Director, Jonathan Finch said: “The 140X is performing very well and the operators have commented that it is very smooth to drive and feels very stable on the ground. This machine from JCB is on another level and we are delighted to have it back on site following the Covid-19 restrictions."

J&J Plant Hire (NE) Ltd has been in business since 2001, offering operated and self-drive plant hire in the North East. It boasts an impressive JCB fleet comprising 3CXs, midi excavators, tracked excavators and JS130s as well as the new 140X for use on a range of projects such as site works, building sites, chemical sites and excavation.
