Duck Girl enjoying Swedish life with Backstrom

Having established herself as a highly skilled operator in her native land Aimee Pooley took the brave decision to follow her dreams and move to the spiritual home of tilt-rotators and modern excavation techniques, a place where she can broaden her horizons and embrace the Scandinavian work ethic, which focuses on the machine and its various attachments with less labour on the ground. Aimee has been rewarded with a Doosan DX160W in full Swedish spec c/w trailer and attachments working in and around the Stockholm area. It’s been an eye opener as to how they cope with the winter weather up there, but there is no drama as life goes on despite the snow, ice and long periods of darkness. img_2401 Aimee aka DuckGirl86 on YouTube continues to document her operating experiences with in the cab footage videos of the work she is undertaking. This video for instance shows her first time roading the machine in winter conditions as we join her on a picturesque journey on the road from one Backstrom job to the yard.
I am planning a visit in the next few weeks to find out more about Aimee's experience and about the Backstrom company for Earthmovers Magazine, definitely one to look out for in a future issue!
