Ematec increases GreenLine range

Bavarian specialist supplier Ematec, based in Memmingerberg near Memmingen, now also offers its rotor blade lifters RBT, RBC and EMT in the eco-friendly GreenLine range. The Ematec GreenLine battery drive emits no emissions, operates in near silence and is suitable for use in the wind energy industry.

By using an emission-free drive for the rotor blade installation in the onshore and offshore sectors, Ematec GreenLine is suitable for applications across the world, and helps meet stricter emissions standards (EU5) which came into force on January 1st 2019. Ematec deliberately kept the electric motor below 48V, allowing the GreenLine range to be used in the US.

Even at temperatures as low as -20C, the GreenLine battery boasts a working time of 16 hours, which is enough to install three rotor blades in a single day. Equipped with an integrated charger, the battery’s maximum charge time is 2.5 hours. Aiding battery life is a sleep mode for when the lifter is not in use, and individual Power Pacs for the left- and right-hand grippers. Estimated battery life is eight years and Ematec reckons the GreenLine costs no more than conventional technology with an internal combustion engine.
