“Enter the E Series” as new LiuGong models arrive

We first laid eyes on some of the new E Series LiuGong excavators at last year’s Bauma trade fair in Munich. Now there is only a short wait until the new EU emission compliant machines become available for customers in the UK. There will be three models available to start with consisting of the 922E, 925E and the 930E. There is growing confidence in the quality of the Chinese brand, which has been confirmed by the large orders for machines from JFfrench Plant Hire and Squibb Demolition, which have been delivered by UK dealership Construction Plant & Machinery Sales recently. These machines are expected to prove popular with customers who have already put their faith in LiuGong’s C Series machine’s which have already proven to be cost effective and reliable in a variety of applications on UK sites so far. The smallest of the new models, the 922E has an operating weight of 22,000kg and a maximum digging depth of 6595mm; the 925E has an operating weight of 25,500kg and a maximum digging depth of 6925mm; and the 930E has an operating weight of 31.300kg and a maximum digging depth of 7300mm. Each E-Series model is equipped with a Tier IV Interim/Stage IIIB Cummins 6.7L engine in compliance with EU regulations, with varying levels of net power depending on each machine: 117 kw @ 2000 rpm for the 922E; 129 kw @ 2000 rpm for the 925E; and 147 kw @ 1900 rpm for the 930E. Compared with the previous 922LC and 925LC machines, the 922E and 925E have reduced fuel consumption by 8% and 5% respectively, and feature increased bucket digging forces of 5% and 11.8% respectively. The Digger Man Blog expects to be getting up close and personal with these new models as soon as they arrive, so lookout for a future blog post and a potential article in Earthmovers Magazine over the coming months.
