Ex-soldier gets promotion

Global Recycling Solutions Ltd has appointed Jason Davey as Regional Sales Manager (South). Machinery has always been a driving force in Jason's life. After leaving school, Jason joined the Army and was a Plant Operator in the Royal Engineers, completing tours in Saudi Arabia, Kosovo and the Falkland Islands. Following on from this was two years in Plant Hire, then a considerable 18 years selling a variety of plant machinery.

Jason commented, "I love selling plant and in particular excavators, the Sany brand offers excellent value for money, the machines are very reliable and competitively priced. The new Stage 5 models that have just been released have some very nice upgrades."

Jason joined Global Recycling Solutions in August 2020. Dean Ashton, Business Development Director said, "Jason's been a pleasure to work alongside for the past year and it was a natural progression for him to be moved into the Regional Sales Manager role, after working hard during his time with the company. Global Recycling Solutions being awarded the rights for Sany excavators was a fantastic fit for Jason, given that he sold the first three Sany machines in the country, back in 2015."

The skid-steer, pictured here with Jason, was the first machine that he sold some 20 years ago. Jason commented, "A farmer bought it from me to clean out his cattle sheds and he still uses it to this day.  I'm happy to say he's recently shaken my hand on a deal for a new Sany SY135C."

As well as Sany, Jason is also responsible for the portfolio of large equipment sales in the South in the recycling and forestry sectors with Pronar, Backers and Bandit Industries range of large chippers and grinders.
