Finland’s finest

Rarely, if ever seen in the UK the Lännen backhoe loader is the Finnish equivalent of Sweden’s Huddig machines. Both makes of these incredible machines are often described as the Rolls Royce of backhoe loaders but of course these highly advanced machines come at a price and that’s one of the reasons they are not a mainstream player. The latest model the 8800K has recently been launched and our Finnish journalist friend Olli Paivio visited the factory to check the machine out for his publication Koneporssi. a1-1 According to Lännen Tractors Oy’s Group Product Manager Jan Aspvik, the new machine has been designed to provide improvements in four key areas, mobility, multi-functionality, productivity and environmental responsibility. The new engine is a Tier 4 Final emissions compliant Agco Power unit, producing a maximum power output of 127kw @1900rpm. The machine also receives a new spacious and functional cab including many new design features, including more interior space, stronger armrests, a steering wheel that adjusts in two places, and improved ventilation and storage space. a3 All the above-mentioned improvements have been made on the basis of customers' experiences and feedback. The changes improve the productivity of the machine, of course, also the mobility and multi-functionality. The improvements are by no means limited to the engine and cab as in addition front fenders are longer and are stronger in construction than before. Also the supplier of the heating and air conditioning unit has been changed offering significant improvements to the heating/condensation efficiency. Check out the video made by Olli Paivio below.
The Digger Man Blog would like to thank Olli and the team at Koneporssi for sharing this material with us.
