Flannery Plant Hire committed to supporting UK Plant Expo 2027
Flannery Plant Hire has confirmed its support for UK Plant Expo 2027, signing up as both a sponsor and exhibitor for the new live plant event.
Taking place on 11 and 12 June 2027 at the Heart of England Events Centre in Warwickshire, UK Plant Expo will put working machinery, live demonstrations and operators at the centre of the show.
Flannery Plant Hire Safety and Skills Director Aaron Davis said the event’s format was a major attraction, particularly the dedicated B2B Friday and Saturday programme aimed at families and young people.
“For me, UK Plant Expo has the feel of the traditional plant shows many of us grew up with, when you could see machines working and have proper conversations with the people behind them. There is a bit of that SED spirit about it, and I think the industry has missed that.
“Friday gives us a focused B2B day where we can spend time with customers, suppliers and industry colleagues, but I’m equally excited about the Saturday. Bringing families along gives us a fantastic opportunity to put our industry in front of young people who might otherwise never think about a career in construction or plant.”
Davis added that the event would provide an opportunity to highlight the skills and career opportunities available within the sector.
“Skills are a huge part of what we do at Flannery. We need to show the next generation that this is a modern, highly skilled and technology-led industry with some brilliant career opportunities.
“If a young person comes to the show, sees the machines working, meets the people operating them and goes home thinking, ‘I could do that’, then that is incredibly valuable.”
Flannery has made skills development a key part of its workforce strategy, with training and apprenticeship programmes alongside a growing network of Operator Skills Hubs aimed at creating routes into plant operation and construction careers.
The company said: “We’re delighted to support UK Plant Operator Magazine, home of UKPO Expo 27.
“We look forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, building new relationships, and taking part in what promises to be another fantastic event for showcasing the plant sector.”
UK Plant Expo will bring manufacturers, suppliers, plant hirers and operators together in a working outdoor environment, with Friday focused on the industry and Saturday opening the event to the wider plant community and families.
Further details of Flannery Plant Hire’s presence at the event are expected to be announced ahead of the June 2027 show.
