GT Lifting Solutions make large investment in Manitou
GT Lifting Solutions has placed a multi-million-pound order for ten new Manitou MRT 4080 rotating telehandlers, marking the first ten-unit order worldwide for the new 40-metre machine.
The deal, finalised with Manitou UK, sees the 8-tonne MRT 4080 become the highest-reaching rotating telehandler in Manitou’s Vision+ range and introduces the model to the UK market.
The MRT 4080 was previewed at Plantworx 2025, after which representatives from GT Lifting visited Manitou’s manufacturing facility in Bologna, Italy, to view the production machines and finalise the agreement. The order also includes a range of specialist attachments.
GT Lifting Managing Director Joseph Rogers said: “GT Lifting has led the UK construction industry in bringing innovative ROTO telehandlers to market for over 20 years. We are very proud to have been the first to introduce the 26m, followed by the 30m, 35m, 39m, and now the landmark 40m Manitou MRT 4080.
“This latest addition and significant investment in our fleet is a testament to the strength of our longstanding partnership with Manitou. Their commitment to engineering excellence and continuous innovation has enabled us to consistently deliver advanced lifting solutions that set new standards for performance, safety, and productivity across the UK.”
The MRT 4080 expands Manitou’s Vision+ range into the 40-metre reach category and is designed to combine heavy-duty telehandler, mobile crane and aerial work platform capabilities.
The ten machines will be supplied with bespoke attachments to maximise their versatility, with deliveries beginning in August and the machines available nationwide through GT Lifting’s hire network.
Manitou UK Business Development Key Account Manager Bryonne Skelton said: “Delivering the UK’s first MRT 4080 units to GT Lifting is a landmark moment, made even more rewarding by the close partnership we have built over the years.
“GT Lifting continues to invest heavily in expanding its extensive Manitou MRT fleet, and this deal is a testament to its forward-thinking approach. We are incredibly proud to support its ongoing growth and see our latest innovation join the company’s premium lineup.”
